Our October 2025 release introduces several powerful enhancements focused on improving performance, flexibility, and control within your applications. From a complete redesign of our automated application creation system to new layout and simulation features, this update makes building professional web applications from Excel models even faster and more intuitive.
A Major Redesign of Automated Application Creation
We’ve rolled out a comprehensive remodel of our automated application creation tool, making it dramatically easier to create your first app.
The new system displays your Excel workbook in its native layout, alongside our built-in detections that identify which portions of your spreadsheet resemble user-interface elements. You can now extend, enable, and define these sections explicitly, determining which parts of your Excel file should transform into interactive pages in your web application.
It’s as if you never left Excel, but with all the power of SpreadsheetWeb’s dynamic UI builder right at your fingertips.
Smarter Layouts with Subdivided Containers
We’ve added the ability to subdivide containers into table-like structures, offering far more precise control over how your controls and elements are arranged.
Each subdivision acts just like a standard container. You can add controls and elements inside, but now you can align them both vertically and horizontally for pixel-perfect layouts.
Enhanced Performance for Simulations and Batch Calculations
Behind the scenes, we’ve implemented a significant performance optimization for batch calculations and simulation events.
Large-scale simulations now run faster and more efficiently, making complex Monte Carlo or multi-scenario analyses smoother than ever before. You’ll notice a tangible improvement in responsiveness during intensive processing tasks.
Bind Multiple Input Controls to the Same Named Range
You can now bind multiple input controls to the same named range, even across different pages of your application.
This feature enables more flexible interface designs where a single variable can be controlled from multiple locations. The system ensures that the last control to trigger a change determines the current value, which will then propagate to all dependent controls.
New Simulation Events
This release also introduces simulation events, a major step forward for users running Excel data-table simulations.
When the system detects usage of data tables within your workbook, a new simulation event will appear in the Designer. You can easily bind this event to a button control, allowing users to execute simulations directly within your web application, no scripting required.
From smarter UI detection to faster performance and richer interactivity, this release brings SpreadsheetWeb another step closer to delivering a seamless Excel-to-web experience.
We’re excited for you to try these new features and see how they transform your workflow. As always, we welcome your feedback. Let us know how these updates enhance your applications or what you’d like to see next!
