We’re pleased to announce the latest release of SpreadsheetWeb, introducing key updates designed to improve usability, flexibility, and security. Below are the main highlights of this version:
New Runtime
After several months of development, we are releasing a new runtime for SpreadsheetWeb applications. This updated runtime brings a range of improvements over the current version, including better performance and enhanced stability.
- Impact on Existing Applications: Your existing applications will continue to use the current runtime and will not be affected by this update.
- Transition Period: For the next six months, both the current and new runtimes will be supported. All new applications created during this time will automatically use the new runtime.
- Preview Feature: You can now preview your existing applications using the new runtime. This allows you to test and validate functionality before deciding to migrate.
We encourage you to explore the new runtime and plan your migration accordingly.
Basic Print to PDF
In this release, we’ve introduced a simplified Print to PDF feature designed to streamline the process of generating PDF documents from SpreadsheetWeb applications. This new option leverages the print areas already defined within the Excel file to produce a PDF output. It has been added under the Excel Export options as an alternative to exporting results in Excel format. While this version of the Print to PDF tool is easier to set up compared to the more advanced version, it is intended primarily for use cases with relatively static document structures. As such, it offers a more straightforward approach to PDF generation, though with more limited customization capabilities.
Looking ahead, our development team is continuing to enhance the platform with a focus on performance, customization, and security. For more information or assistance with these new features, please contact our support team or consult the online documentation.
Thank you for using SpreadsheetWeb—we’re excited to continue supporting your projects with ongoing improvements.
