We’re excited to announce our latest release of SpreadsheetWeb, featuring several powerful updates aimed at enhancing usability, flexibility, and security. Below are the highlights of what’s new in this version.
Filter Support in Grid Controls
Grids are some of the most frequently used UI components in SpreadsheetWeb Designer, enabling users to organize, view, and manipulate tabular data directly within an application. With this update, each column in a grid can now be assigned a custom filter, allowing users to search text, select from dropdowns, choose date ranges, or use a slider for numeric columns. These filtering options simplify data exploration and analysis, helping users quickly locate the information they need, especially in datasets with numerous entries.
Named Range Restrictions in API
This release also introduces named range restrictions for API calls. This feature offers finer-grained control over who can read or write to specific ranges in a workbook. During the design phase, you can select exactly which named ranges are accessible for external input and output operations, protecting sensitive cells from unintended exposure. In addition to existing API security features, this enhancement improves regulatory compliance, secure confidential data, and accommodate multi-tenant scenarios by ensuring users have access only to the cells relevant to their role or permissions.
Looking ahead, our development team is already hard at work on future enhancements to further optimize performance, improve customization, and strengthen security. If you have any questions or need guidance on leveraging these new features, please reach out to our support team or consult our documentation. Thank you for choosing SpreadsheetWeb—we look forward to delivering even more improvements in the months to come!
